Most of the puzzles offered by SARL Mikado are handcrafted in Thailand by small, small family businesses. For information, child labor is absolutely prohibited and does not exist in Thailand. The wood used is acacia (or Suar) a non-precious, durable, fast-growing wood that is found everywhere and in abundance in Southeast Asia. This wood is very appreciated for its antifungal, mechanical and aesthetic qualities, and it lends itself particularly well to the manufacture of small everyday wooden objects, its grain and its color are reminiscent of teak or mahogany. All the puzzles are of course tested in France by the SGS test laboratory in order to meet CE requirements in terms of safety, standards EN71 / 1-2-3.
As for Japanese boxes, are they obviously made in Japan by master craftsmen? and they represent the flagship of Japanese craftsmanship. To learn more about these boxes, click HERE
