The Fanorona is a traditional game from Madagascar, hence its nickname "Malagasy Checkers".
This game is anchored deep in the Malagasy culture, one of the oldest engravings of Fanorona is dated between 1500 and 1600.
It is a strategic game, where the objective will be to capture the enemy pieces, using unique capture methods.
In the Malagasy tradition, the revenge (vela) is played with particular characteristics, and if the player having won the first round also wins the vela, then he is considered the winner.
